This quilt was inspired by the desire to feature a small quantity of beautiful fabric. The background is a solid linen-viscose blend, which makes the cotton voile prints pop against the neutral background. Use the negative space to feature quilting designs or opt for straight-line quilting to create a modern look that can easily be completed on a home sewing machine.

The pattern comes with instructions to make the lap quilt pictured on the cover and two, 20-inch throw pillows to match.

For the lap quilt you will need 4 1/2 yards of background fabric and (9) 1/2 cuts in coordinating colors to make the quilt top.

There’s nothing better than an easy pattern that looks complicated. You just need to be able to sew a half-square triangle and cut strips to make the the blocks for this quilt.

18 Carat is made with a layer cake and coordinating yardage. The pattern is named for the sparkling gemstone look created by grouping the layer cake squares into color groupings.

This pattern utilizes strip piecing and rows are sewn together on the diagonal so there are no fancy templates to use or complicated Y-seams. Just stitch, cut and go.

ou don’t really even have to think about fabric placement. Just sew the layer cake and jelly roll strips together in the order they were packaged together to recreate the look of color changes in a jelly roll in your quilt.

Create the look of a six-pointed star medallion quilt without any of the fuss. This quilt is made entirely from a jelly roll and coordinating yardage. The diamonds are strip pieced and assembled on the diagonal, so there are no fancy templates or Y-seams to deal with. You just need an equilateral triangle ruler and you’re ready to make this quilt. Refraction is so simple, you can easily complete it in a weekend.

This quilt can easily be completed in a weekend. All you need are two charm packs and three and three-quarter yards of coordinating yardage for the background. The instructions include directions to make half square triangles from squares, so you can turn the charm packs into half square triangles in no time at all.

Use two charm packs from the same line for a uniform look. Feature charm packs from two of your favorite fabric lines from the same designer to get a more varied but coordinated design. For a scrappy look, use this pattern as a stash buster and clear out all those five-inch squares.
