This quilt was inspired by the desire to
feature a small quantity of beautiful fabric. The background is a solid
linen-viscose blend, which makes the cotton voile prints pop against the
neutral background. Use the negative space to feature quilting designs
or opt for straight-line quilting to create a modern look that can
easily be completed on a home sewing machine.
The pattern comes with instructions to make the lap quilt pictured on the cover and two, 20-inch throw pillows to match.
For the lap quilt you will need 4 1/2 yards of background fabric and (9) 1/2 cuts in coordinating colors to make the quilt top.

Create the look of a six-pointed star
medallion quilt without any of the fuss. This quilt is made entirely
from a jelly roll and coordinating yardage. The diamonds are strip
pieced and assembled on the diagonal, so there are no fancy templates or
Y-seams to deal with. You just need an equilateral triangle ruler and
you’re ready to make this quilt. Refraction is so simple, you can easily
complete it in a weekend.
