Born in Nantucket, Massachusetts in 1823, Lydia had a few famous cousins: Ben Franklin, Lucretia Mottand, Maria Mitchell. Lydia's Lace, with an authentic palette of prints in colors that are true to the time period, would make great period costumes for museums, historic homes, and reenactments
