Shipping Rates

We are quilters, too, and we know you want more fabric, more quilting patterns, not more shipping charges! The cart can overestimate the shipping charges, especially when it comes to orders for 2 or more patterns and international rates. It is difficult for these to be "one size fits all".

We routinely weigh each package, and if the charge is unreasonably high, we make an adjustment. You don't need to ask; this is our standard practice of providing the best possible service.

We are required by your credit card company to provide proof of delivery. The only acceptable proof is delivery confirmation, which is only provided by tracking. This requires that all patterns and packages be sent with tracking.

UNITED STATES:

• As of July 12, 2026 the post office has done away with 4, 8, and 12 ounce rates for packages under 1 lb.
• Now ALL small packages under 1 pound will be assessed the 15.9 ounce rate.

The new rates for US orders under $20.00 is $8.99
From $20.00-$89.99 the rate is $13.99**
Rates above $90.00 as quoted.

** If the weight of your package is 15.9 ounce or less, we will reduce the shipping cost to $8.99.

Due to increased shipping costs, should we need to restock an item, we will hold the order so that it ships complete.

CANADA

Rates to Canada can be very reasonable. The cost of shipping a small pattern in a 6 x 9 envelope usually isn't more than $6.99. Rates for packages, and parcels can be seen at www.USPS.com should you have a question.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

• We make every effort to ship all orders, including international packages, at the lowest rate possible. Our shopping cart will quote you a fee. If the cart quotes you a fee that is too high, we will refund you.

• If the cart quotes you a fee that is too low, in most cases, we will absorb the additional charge. We can never increase a charge on your account, or add to an order without your permission and without you actually entering in an order for an added item, or entering an order in for the extra shipping fee.

• On a very rare occasion, an item is bulky or very large and the shipping fee varies from what is estimated by the cart and in that case, we will contact you, advise you, and have you make the decision to pay the extra, or cancel the order.

• We do use FIRST CLASS INTERNATIONAL package and letter rates where ever possible, when shipping internationally and we use priority and priority flat rates to find the best rate for your order.

IF THE CART TELLS YOU THAT NO SHIPPING RATE IS AVAILABLE, IT MEANS YOU RESIDE IN A COUNTRY WE DON'T USUALLY SHIP TO. WE WILL NEED TO CONTACT YOU WITH RATE AND PAYMENT INFORMATION. WE DO NOT SHIP TO ALL COUNTRIES.

WHEN WILL YOUR ORDER SHIP??? If you have a RETREAT or CLASS DEADLINE, it is strongly suggested that you notify us so that we can let you know if we are unable to meet that deadline. The industry pattern distributors carry over 30,000 patterns and they are not all in stock at every moment, waiting to be ordered and shipped.

We work to fill orders 364 days per year. We do ship US orders at the post office on Sundays. International shipments require that we use the counter service and can only be done Monday-Saturday.
