Matilda is a lovely scrappy quilt – from the background fabrics to the flowers and vases.

Matilda is made up of 6 ½ inch blocks. Four blocks are joined together to make a 12 1/2 inch block.

• For the background fabrics I used a variety of checks, stripes, some script fabric – all “low volume” in a variety of colors.
• For the vases I used browns and greys.
• In my 12 1/2 inch block i used the same brown/grey fabric for the four vases. It would also look lovely using wool felt.
