Inspired by a mid-19th century embellished, needlework sampler this whimsical applique is created with individually constructed sections made with Poly fuse/Applique paper (a dissolvable stabilizer) and then appliqued to the background. This project can also be constructed using traditional needle turn appliqué.
The finished applique center measures 36” x 36”; borders, both pieced and/or appliqued can be added at a later stage to complete your project to the size you desire.
This lovely design will need preparation. All pages need to be taped together to get the full 36" design before preparing fabric. I do like the fact that borders can be added of my own design to enlarge the quilt. The pattern photo is clear and detailed, always helpful in choosing fabrics.
