Large, Queen size applique quilt pattern with a whismical design of a pot of flowers, where the petals are shaped liked pointed dresden plate petals, and the leave stalks are a smaller dresden petal. The flowers, the leaves and the flower pot are all in red, while the stems and stalks are a neutral tan, all sewn on a creamy red ground.
This design features a center urn, filled with appliqued flowers and leaves, and surrounded by border after border, in the "frame" or medallion quilt style, that originated in the UK in the 17th century.

All of the fabrics used in the sample shown on the cover were from the French General fabric lines for Moda Fabrics in red, grey and cream colorations, in a variety of small scale designs.

Vertical strippy quilt design features 4 pieced and appliqued rows, containing 8 blocks each, for a total of 32 different, unique quilt block patterns. The rows of quilt blocks have a small narrow frame of off white fabric on each side and rows of a red floral fabric in between. The blocks include a schoolhouse, a fleur-de-lis, an appliqued wreath, pinwheels, star blocks, and more.

While this quilt was made with red, cream and gray fabrics, it would be gorgeous sewn in most any quilt palette with the fabrics of your choosing.
